On 19 Jan. 2014, I measured around Kashiwa high school in Kashiwa city, Chiba pref., Japan.
The monitor indicates air dose rate 0.17 or 0.18 micro Sievert per hour at chest hight, along the school side sidewalk.
And 1.50 or 1.70 micro Sievert per hour on the mud where radioactive particle have been accumulated on the sidewalk.
Kashiwa city : population 400,000.
The monitorinig place is 200km or 120 miles from Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear power plant, 32km or 20 miles for the center of Tokyo.
Measuring instrument is made of Ukraine, ECOTEST MKS-05.
