I just don't get it!

My brother from another mother. I get it ... I too am at a loss. It seems to me that all most viewers want is to be entertained, or they are in for the "re-post a meme, or some half-ass piece of information they saw elsewhere" in a complaining tone. Maybe they are overwhelmed by the data? Maybe it requires too much digging in, researching the data, conflicts with their preconceived notions about the truth? I honestly don't know.

There are some very well-intentioned efforts out there, that draw a huge audience with lots of participation, but the information ... flat out sucks. The fact checking is non existent, the data presented is sensational, fear-mongering and about as shallow as the nearest mud puddle - but they are hugely popular! I know this to be true, as I participate in a few of them, mostly on Facebook (I don't do Twitter). I've plastered links to this Forum effort all over the many Facebook pages I participate in, folks swing by immediately after the post, I watch the users/visitors climb here for about 15-20 minutes, only to drop off to next to nothing. No one signs up, of the few folks that HAVE created an account, they don't make a single comment here (and with a couple of them I find that VERY frustrating, as they are good folks - and pretty knowledgeable and otherwise engaged in the effort) but they too drop off after a brief read, go back to the Facebook site which brought them here, hit 'LIKE' and don't comment there either. It's like WOW The couple of hours it took me to find that information, craft a post, and then publish links to it where I THINK people interested in the Fukushima Disaster might be interested - ends up being worthless or at least not even worthy of saying THANKS

I don't know how to combat it Russ, honestly. I'm trying to be a good steward of the passion and talent God granted me, I'm trying to look out for 'my neighbor' tell my neighbor that their house is on fire, and the reaction is OH WELL!

There are some folks too that feel that going to the US Capital and waving signs is their calling, I don't find fault with that necessarily, maybe they actually will garner some attention to the issue(s) while there is yet time ... but I think it "tends too" attract the perpetually misinformed and those disinclined to FACT CHECK either the information they are presented, or dig in to research already there. They are content with a spoon full of 1/2 facts, and join the crowd repeating that information, and their numbers while larger and maybe more vocal than ours, are still small. Their "attention cycle" may be a little longer than ours, but it's still short.

I also know there has been a very very LONG active campaign of disinformation, bought into heavily by Hollywood and the entertainment industry, to keep The People distracted with panem et circenses (if you don't get it right away, look it up, you'll enjoy the reference.

The government counts on (and is probably at least partially responsible for) this disinformation, as it provides good cover out in the open for stuff they don't WANT you to see. A prime example is UFO's as cover for experimental aircraft and weapon system development. Their are MILLIONS of people in the world, not just the US that absolutely believe that UFO's are REAL, and that we have aliens out at 'Area 51'. Unfortunately, these people bring that mindset and level of discernment with them when they tackle the Fukushima story. They'll post Alex Jones, Jeff Rense, Beforeitsnews articles ALL DAY LONG! They'll insist that these sources are genuine, and that what lends credibility to these and similar sources is that "no one else is telling you the story" or the few times that what they did publish, is actually published elsewhere, so the two times per day that a BROKE CLOCK is right tells you it's working

So I don't know, maybe we have to hire some dancers and put up a pole and some disco lights. What will it take? Maybe a nuclear event
