Fukushima Diary : In 311, only Fukushima Medical University staff took potassium iodide tablets
Posted by Mochizuki on May 2nd, 2014 Fukushima Medical University distributed potassium iodide only to their staff, doctors and their family members on 311. From their internal materials, they distributed 3,814 potassium iodide tablets to each department by 3/15/2011. Even a “FAX corner” was given them. Nearly 8,000 potassium iodide tablets were distributed in total, which includes students. Meanwhile, Fukushima prefectural government distributed approx 1.14 million potassium iodide tables to the local governments but the government didn’t order to give them to individual citizens except for Miharu-machi and a few other local governments.
