Fukushima Diary : Exceeding level of Cs-134/137 detected from fish more and more frequently in 20km area of sea since this JanuaryPosted by Mochizuki on April 29th, 2014 Tepco has been measuring higher level of Cesium-134/137 in marine products than the safety limit (100Bq/Kg) increasingly frequently since this January. Tepco announced this in the report submitted to Fukushima prefectural fishery cooperatives on 4/25/2014. From their report, the frequency that they measured over 100Bq/kg of Cs-134/137 dropped from 20% to 10% in the second and the third quarter of 2013, it even dropped to approx. 5% this January but it went up to 10% again toward this March. The sorts of fish that they measured over 100Bq/Kg from jumped up by approx. 10% from this January to February as well. The sampling location is 20km radius area from Fukushima plant except for Fukushima plant port. The highest reading was 509Bq/Kg (Total of Cs-134 and 137). It is likely that the biological concentration is on-going among marine products. www.tepco.co.jp/nu/fukushima-np/handouts/2014/images/handouts_140425_09-j.pdfIori Mochizuki fukushima-diary.com/2014/04/exceeding-level-of-cs-134137-detected-from-fish-more-and-more-frequently-in-20km-area-of-sea-since-this-january/
