The intention of introductions

To get to know a little bit about you, whatever you are comfortable to share. It may be a couple of quick statements or a full blown diatribe. I just ask that everyone who cares too, create their own thread to introduce yourselves with, so that it's less confusing than a string on thread where everyone is talking, commenting and we forget who is the 'new guy or gal'

There are no other requirements at all, and no real requirement to introduce yourself.
