“The Pacific Ocean’s Obituary”
Serious bummer because we hardly knew those roughly 622 million cubic km. of water, chloride, sodium, sulfate, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and aside from a few more elements a whole lot of chemical waste and pollutants dumped in there by us. The Radioactive isotopes cesium-137, Putonium-239, cobalt, and strontium amongst others being the relatively new additions to the radionucleotides we’ve been dumping in her since 1949, and ultimately proved even ocean’s have limits. To give you some perspective those 4 isotopes contaminated land too but random 22 vastly isolated Pacific Ocean samples had 4 to 5 times the contamination of land down wind from Japan.
She was moody and made for a hostile frontier, covering some 63.8 million square miles she was the largest of Earth’s oceanic divisions. Having thousands of miles of coastline and some 25,000 islands the Pacific Ocean’s fisheries had 4000 species I knew; not to mention the thousands I don’t. The Pacific Ocean had the largest population of humanity dependent on her fisheries harvest, what do you suppose they will do now? Yet even with a vast, diverse surfaces and an area covering more than five times the diameter of the Moon, she could not escape from mortality with us around, yes history in the making “Humanity has killed an Ocean”.
Please remember that although TEPCO and by extension Japan is cited by the Media, when they bother saying anything at all about the globally dire event, TEPCO leases the reactors from General Electric and specifically the three units which melted down or “through” were surveyed, and built by G.E. at least partially with Reactor # 1 being all GE’s fine work. “They bring good things to blight!” Japan’s people have suffered too much because of United States Atomic Polices of past and present. First your President Obama needs to stop trying to push them to fire up the other reactors, second he needs to help get folks with children out of there.
Now before some Liberal reader gets all indignant and thinking this is an unfair attack on Presidential Policies or I have no proof. Ask yourself why Jeffery Immelt, currently the chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the U.S.-based conglomerate General Electric, also head of Barack Obama's highly touted "Jobs Council" and Job Czar? So being CEO of GE isn’t paying enough for “Jeffy” as he only took in 16.2 million last year, I guess he needed the part time government work to make ends meet?
He will probably be eligible for a Federal Employee Tax Break so he isn’t numbered amongst those to get hit by higher taxes like us but then GE hasn’t paid corporate income tax in some 15 years, although they do always make grandiose donations to the Presidential Candidates campaigns.
I do think as the positions "Jobs Council and Job Czar” fail to identify which country he is supposed to be working to improve the employment situation, personally I assumed the United States. Perhaps “Jeffy” assumes China, based on his moving even more GE infrastructure to China. GE makes more medical-imaging machines than anyone else in the world, and now GE has announced July 29, 2011, that it "is moving the headquarters of its 115-year-old X-ray business to Beijing".

So I’m going to just assume then, that neither Jeffy or GE cares about taxes or the Pacific Ocean’s Intensive Care status diagnoses of “circling the drain” which invariably carries “celestial discharge prognosis. The spike in canned seafood sales during the summer of 2011 spoke volumes to those who prefer being informed as opposed to living in either doubt of fear both being the chief side effects of the easily remedied pandemic of ignorance that has seized the United States. Education, research, and trust through verification are the only ways one can avoid the terminal condition that ignorance is all too often exacerbated into called stupidity.
